Online marketplace eBay announced the recent changes it has made to help sellers to expand their business.

Redesigned Seller Dashboard

The new eBay seller dashboard that was introduced on January 20th, 2016 is neater and simpler as compared to the older one. Tabs for current and projected seller levels have been removed. In addition, the tab of ‘Projected Seller Level’ has been replaced by ‘If we evaluated you today’ tab.

New Performance Evaluation Standard

Performance Evaluation Standard helps to determine a seller’s overall rating and performance. The updated standard has eliminated few elements, which will help sellers to stabilize their ratings. This new change will be implemented next month on February 20th, 2016.

The below table will explain the difference between the new and old evaluation standard:

Once the new standard is implemented, the factors such as Buyer feedback, Detailed seller ratings (DSRs), Returns requests that are successfully resolved with the buyer and Items not received requests that are successfully resolved with the buyer will no longer affect a seller’s defect rate.
